Tuzla Brain Week je dugogodišnji projekt Studentskog vijeća Medicinskog fakulteta Univerziteta u Tuzli „MEDICUS“, koji se implementira u sklopu obilježavanja Sedmice mozga, a za cilj ima približavanje tematike neuronauka na posebno koncipiran način za svaku skupinu.
Tuzla Brain Week is a long-standing project of the Student Council of the Medical Faculty of the University of Tuzla "MEDICUS", which is created as part of Brain Awareness Week, with the goal of bringing neuroscience closer together in a specially conceived way for each target group.

Our favourite part of this BH Futures Foundation Academy was the Innovation Expo - a small exhibition where each of our members presented a project, scientific work or a startup on which he worked in the past period.

We will not remember last weekend for the biggest wind storm in Mostar in the past couple of years, but for the spirit of science, innovation, workshops, and exchange of experiences and ideas.
On Friday our board members had a strategic planning meeting in Mostar during which they discussed activities and goals for this year, but also which structural changes need to be made in the Foundation in order to work more effectively. The most important change is the establishment of Student and Young Professional Leadership Committee (SYPLC), which aims to scale, diversify and extend future activities of Foundation, giving students and young professionals a unique opportunity to grow and extend their responsibilities.
Rijad Saric, one of our BH Futures Foundation scholars had the pleasure of visiting our international partner PSI recently where he spent time undertaking an experiment with the Mendel Cube, a novel product in citizen based science. As a part of the international team, Rijad is currently working on the improvement of 3D reconstruction of plant cultivation chamber. PSI CEO Mr. Martin Trtilek hosted Rijad and gave him a tour of the company focusing on state of the art product development.
No matter where we go, we always make sure we visit local university campuses. There was no difference this time. Haris Selmanovic and Eddie Custovic visited “Sveuciliste Mostar - University of Mostar” and ran a 4 hour workshop “Developing yourself through IEEE & BH Futures Foundation”. A small group of students had the opportunity to hear about the IEEE, the world’s largest professional organisation and BH Futures Foundation the fastest growing foundation in Bosnia & Herzegovina. Semir publishes a scientific paper together with his mentor!
BH Futures Foundation Mentorship Program is something we are proud of because it gives young students the chance to develop and learn more with excellent industry experts, both domestic and international. Mentor-student relationships, with inevitable constant learning and exchange of ideas, often have concrete fruits in the form of projects or business opportunities. Nevertheless, we are proud that for the first time we have publishing of joint scientific paper by our student Semir Salkić and his mentor Edin Golubović.

Semir Salkić, Lejla Imširović i Nermin Đuzić, dobitnici ovogodišnje stipendije Njemačke privrede pod nazivom “Internship Programme of German Business”, koju organizira Fondacija “Zoran Đinđić”, a riječ je o programu stipendija za ljetnju praksu u Njemačkoj, a koji je namijenjen studentima zemalja zapadnog Balkana.
What an incredible opportunity. 18 students from the BH Futures Foundation have been rewarded scholarship (in the value of $3000 USD each) to undertake specialised courses at the most prestigious academic institution in the world, Harvard University.
When Silmija Ferizovic Topoljak and her team won the 2017 IEEE Innovation Nation - YEP/IEEE Innovation Challenge in Bosnia & Herzegovina, never in her wildest dreams did she think that exactly 12 months later she and one of her team members, thanks to BH Futures Foundation and IEEE Entrepreneurship would be rewarded with an all expenses paid trip to attend the same event in Sri Lanka. Silmija and Harun, presented their project, acted as judges and most importantly made hundreds of new contacts, expanding their intercultural knowledge.

Aleksandar Mastilovic and Maja Hadziselimovic have served as board members of the BH Futures Foundation since 2017. They have made immense contributions to our organisation. As we know, all good things come to an end. As such, their 2 year terms on our board have ended. Maja and Aleksandar will both be pursuing other initiatives outside of the foundation and we wish them the very best in their adventures.
When I got the chance to take part at IEEE SYPC congress in December 2017, I couldn't have imagined where it would lead me, and that I had made one of the best decisions in my life. From Sokolac, Banja Luka to Melbourne- Australia.
In co-operation with the "European Union Erasmus +" program, the Foundation has awarded students grants for attending "Joyful Leadership" and "EU Bussines School" courses to build their leadership and business skills. The Foundation has awarded scholarships for attending the "EU Bussines School" courses at the Católica de Murcia University (UCAM) in Spain. Eight scholarships were awarded to our most prestigious students Andrej Perković, Emin Hajdarević, Milan Kusmuk, Haris Arnautović, Semir Salkić,Haris Selmanović, Vildana Hrnjić, and Zorana Štaka. The opportunity to acquire and develop their leadership skills got two students, Selma Aličić and Nikolina Bulović. Their skills will be upgraded on „JOYFUL LEADERSHIP COURSE“, which will provide these young students necessary knowledge and skills to achieve the best leadership in the community.
Our keynote speaker for the third and final BH Futures Foundation academy of the year, held in Tuzla, was reserved for a focus on the Introduction to Robotics by inspirational robotics engineer and foundation member Maja Hadziselimovic.
Fondacija budućnosti u Bosni i Hercegovini (BH Futures Foundation) je trećom ovogodišnjom BHFF Akademijom zaključila izuzetno uspješnu 2018. godinu. Akademija je održana u Tuzli 24. i 25. novembra u prostorijama DKR - Njemačkog centra za robotiku i u njoj je učestvovalo preko 40 mladih iz cijele BiH, kao i 12 gostujućih studenata iz Australije. Uvođenjem mentorskog programa, ove godine se radu Fondacije priključilo preko 30 novih studenata koji svakodnevno imaju priliku da budu mentorisani od Bosanskohercegovačkih stručnjaka iz svih oblasti inženjeringa.
Aiming to transfer the knowledge of leading diaspora-based experts to Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Bosnia and Herzegovina Futures Foundation has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with i-platform, based in Switzerland. The Memorandum will enable the strengthening of the foundation’s mentorship program.
Jedna od misija i vizija BHFF-a je međusobno povezivanje članova naše dijaspore, te saradnja sa mladima iz BiH. To vidimo kao neizostavan korak ka iskorištenju potencijala koje BiH ima i ekonomskom razvoju naše države. Partnera u ovoj misiji smo pronašli u mladoj, snažnoj i prosperitetnoj platformi "NEBO" u Nizozemskoj. Misiju, viziju, te rad naše Fondacije na NEBO biznis forumu u Nizozemskoj predstavili su Zvonimira Jakić i Haris Selmanović.
