Vildana Bijedic, one of the board members of directors of the BH Futures Foundation, was one of the featured speakers at the third annual BiH Diasporic Conference (BiHDC) which took place in USA’s capital, Washington D.C., on April 28th and 29th, 2017. The event brought together predominately a young generation of diaspora who has spent many years living in the US and/or Canada. As a passionate advocate for education, as well as one of the directors of “BiH Futures Foundation”, Vildana spoke on the topic "Transforming Youth into Future Leaders through Education and Technology”.

Thirteen Engineering and Computer Science students and graduates of the School Of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences at La Trobe University, Melbourne collaborated in an effort to aid fellow engineering students in Bosnia and Herzegovina (B&H), with impressive outcomes. A staggering AUD 2,900 (BAM 4,000) was donated to BH Futures Foundation.
Partnership formed between BH Futures Foundation and Synergy Moon, Google Lunar XPRIZE finalist. My name is Adna, Adna Cosic. Presently, I reside in the beautiful city of Zenica, located in Bosnia and Herzegovina. "Besides my contributions to the Red Cross, I am also a board member of the Multiethnic Committee of Zenica. I truly believe that being exposed to multiethnic discussions has positively altered my own view of the political and social state of Bosnia and Herzegovina."
The award means to me as a sign that I'm on the right track and gives me an incentive for further progressing in order to reach the level engineer who is able to change the world for the better with invetions, projects and innovations. My biggest dream is to be a world-renowned engineer from a small Bosnia and Herzegovina, for which people say it's like impossible. To these people I would say that the environment should not be taken as a reason for inability to progress, but it needs to take itself in sense that it requires self-sacrifice, investement in the knowledge and its dissemination.
A team of mechanical engineers from the University of Zenica are winners of the IEEE/YEP Innovation Hackathon held in Sarajevo from December 1st to 4th with their innovation named "PiProjector". The "PiProjector" is designed as a slick, low cost and portable solution for teaching facilities/rooms which have projectors but no computer/laptop to drive the display.
Young people of Bosnia & Herzegovina constantly face economic and social problems. The main concern is a lack of confidence in career opportunities, which is the reason why each year thousands of young & successful people are leaving the country and finding their place under some other sky. The BH Futures Foundation and its founders are constantly working on solving those kinds of problems and meeting our needs.
A team of students from the faculty of economics, University of Sarajevo placed 2nd at the IEEE/YEP Innovation Hackathon held in Sarajevo from December 1st to 4th with their innovation named "PinTrip". The students and their mentor received a 750 BAM award and official certficates thanks to the "Bosnia & Herzegovina Futures Foundation".
