Celebrating BHFF Scholars: Hana Ćatić Wins Best Student Paper Award at CESCG Conference
The BH Futures Foundation proudly celebrates the outstanding achievement of its Junior Scholar, Hana Ćatić, a fourth-year Computer Science student at the Sarajevo School of Science and Technology (SSST), who received the “Best Student Paper Award” at the prestigious CESCG Conference held in Smolenice Castle, Slovakia.
Hana was recognized by IEEE Women in Engineering for her bachelor thesis titled “VR for Anxiety Relief: An Immersive Emotional Regulation Experience.” Her work explores the innovative use of virtual reality (VR) as a tool for supporting emotional regulation and mental health, showcasing the powerful intersection between technology and well-being.
The CESCG Conference, with a tradition spanning nearly 30 years, gathers talented students and researchers from across Europe in the fields of computer graphics and visual computing. Being recognized at such a respected international platform highlights both the quality and impact of Hana’s research.
