Student-Led Futures Resistance Project Featured on Federalna TV Ahead of Conference on Antimicrobial Resistance

The Futures Resistance passion project, a student-led initiative supported by the BH Futures Foundation, continues to raise awareness about one of the most critical challenges in modern medicine — antimicrobial resistance.

As part of the conference promotion, the project was recently featured on Federalna TV during the morning program, “Good morning, Bosnia and Herzegovina!”. Representing the initiative, Asja Omerović, Junior Scholar, highlighted the importance of educating the public on the responsible use of antibiotics and the growing threat antimicrobial resistance poses to global and public health.

The Futures Resistance Conference will take place this Saturday at Burch University, starting at 11:00 AM. Organized entirely by students, the conference aims to provide a platform for discussion on antibiotic resistance and the role of microbiome health in maintaining overall well-being.

Through expert talks, discussions, and knowledge-sharing, the event will bring together students, young researchers, and professionals to explore solutions and promote responsible health practices. The initiative reflects the growing impact of student-led projects in addressing complex scientific and societal challenges.

By combining education, advocacy, and community engagement, Futures Resistance demonstrates how young leaders within the BH Futures Foundation are actively contributing to raising awareness and driving meaningful conversations in the field of public health.

The BH Futures Foundation proudly supports initiatives like Futures Resistance and commends the students behind the project for their dedication, initiative, and impact.

The guest appearance of Asja Omerović, Junior Scholar, is available at the end of the broadcast, starting from 1:38:00, at the following link: Morning program at Federalna TV, 7.5.2026.
