Strategy for Science, Innovation and Technological Development of the Federation of BiH 2027–2032 in Preparation
The Federal Ministry of Education and Science, in cooperation with the Academy of Sciences and Arts of BiH, the Association for the Advancement of Science and Technology, and the Bosnia and Herzegovina Futures Foundation, is leading the development of the Strategy for Science, Innovation and Technological Development of the Federation of BiH for the period 2027–2032.
This document represents a key step toward a systemic and programmatic approach to the development of science, innovation, and technology, and will serve as a foundation for planning, allocation of funds, and the creation of public policies in this field.
Main Goals of the Strategy
The Strategy aims to:
define clear priorities and measures for the development of science, innovation, and technology,
ensure alignment with the process of European integration and the European Research Area,
improve the way research and innovation activities are planned and implemented,
establish a framework for sustainable financing and development of the research ecosystem in the Federation of BiH.
Cooperation with the Diaspora and International Networking
One of the most important segments of the Strategy is focused on cooperation with the Bosnian and Herzegovinian diaspora and the strengthening of international partnerships. Planned measures include:
enhancing human, infrastructural, and organizational capacities,
establishing effective mechanisms for technology transfer and development,
connecting domestic researchers with international research and innovation networks.
The Bosnian and Herzegovinian diaspora is recognized as a key resource for strengthening research potential, knowledge transfer, and building bridges toward global research centers.
Survey: Your Opinion Matters
To gain more accurate insights into the ways in which the diaspora cooperates with domestic researchers, we are conducting a survey, the results of which will directly shape the recommendations within the Strategy.
