Our Founder, Edhem Čustović, Receives Diplomatic Passport of Bosnia and Herzegovina
We are proud to share that our Founder, Edhem Čustović, has been awarded a diplomatic passport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a recognition granted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for his long-standing contributions to the country and its youth through the Foundation.
This honor highlights a decade of tireless work that began in 2015, when Edhem, together with his brother Rešad Čustović, co-founded BH Futures Foundation with a clear mission: to empower young people from all corners of Bosnia and Herzegovina through education, technology, and leadership.
Over the past 10 years, BHFF has grown into a powerful platform that connects students, professionals, mentors, and partners across the globe. Together, we have nurtured a new generation of leaders prepared to guide Bosnia and Herzegovina toward a brighter, more prosperous future.
In his note of gratitude, Edhem extended his thanks to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Minister Elmedin Konaković for this recognition, while also acknowledging the role of BHFF’s volunteers, donors, partners, and most importantly the young people who believe in and carry forward the Foundation’s mission.
“No matter where I am,” he shared, “those who know me know that I always strive to showcase the best of what we have—connecting people, businesses, cultures, and knowledge; creating new opportunities; and advocating for progress, peace, tolerance, and mutual respect.”
Despite spending 34 years abroad, Edhem chose to return and live in Bosnia and Herzegovina, reinforcing his belief in the country’s potential and in its people.
This recognition is not only a personal milestone for Edhem, but also a testament to the collective achievements of our entire community. At BH Futures Foundation, we remain committed to our mission of creating opportunities and empowering the next generation of leaders who will shape the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
💙 Congratulations, Edhem! Your dedication continues to inspire us all.
