Sarajevo Hosts Inspiring BH Professionals Meetup – Powered by SAAS Solutions

On August 15th, amidst the vibrant atmosphere of the Sarajevo Film Festival, we proudly hosted BH Professionals Meetup at Dom Armije. The evening brought together professionals, ambassadors, donors, mentors, students, and friends of the Foundation, celebrating shared values and the vision of a stronger future for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Opening the Evening
The event opened with a warm welcome to all guests, highlighting the spirit of connection that lies at the heart of BHFF’s global Professional Meetups. Just a month ago, the Foundation celebrated its 10th anniversary in Tuzla, marking “Ten Years of Impact.” For those who missed the celebration, Sarajevo offered a second chance to experience that energy — this time with an even larger stage set for the upcoming Futures Leaders Summit, the biggest event in BHFF’s history, scheduled for the end of this year.
Guests were encouraged not only to secure their tickets but also to consider supporting students by purchasing a ticket on their behalf, helping ensure the next generation of leaders can take part in this transformative gathering.
These meetups are, above all, about connection — connecting people with Bosnia and Herzegovina, whether through heritage, passion, or mission. They are about creating opportunities to grow together, exchange ideas, and inspire one another.

The success of the evening was made possible through the generous support of BHFF’s partners. A heartfelt thank you was extended to:

The audience also had the chance to hear directly from representatives of the evening’s supporting companies:
SAAS Solutions – represented by Aldin Taamneh, an IT company from Bosnia and Herzegovina and part of Germany’s MIH Group, specializing in software development, cloud services, and digital transformation across Europe.

Nutriseta – introduced by Amin Šeta, a platform committed to advancing scientific nutrition through personalized plans and advice, building healthier communities in Bosnia and beyond.
Their contributions and stories underscored the shared mission of fostering innovation, progress, and sustainable development both locally and internationally.
Vesna Džombić
One of the guests of the evening was Vesna Džombić, a finance expert with nearly two decades of international experience across auditing, financial management, and business strategy. Currently serving as Venture Partner and CFO at Cloud Health Euroventures, Vesna invests in healthcare and biotechnology companies, with a focus on women-led ventures in Southeast Europe. She is also the founder of nAUkaTIZAM, dedicated to advancing science and supporting individuals with autism.
Her inspiring journey, spanning leadership roles across the U.S. and Europe — reflects a lifelong commitment to driving positive change in both business and community.
The Heart of BHFF: Volunteers
To close the program, the spotlight shifted to the lifeblood of the Foundation — its volunteers. Guests heard first-hand stories from Ena Milković, leader of the HP team, and Ajdin Mehmedović, a dedicated member of the marketing team. Their energy, dedication, and passion embody what BHFF stands for: empowering young people and building a brighter future for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The evening concluded with a heartfelt address by Eddie Čustović, Founder and President of BH Futures Foundation. Eddie reflected on the journey of the past decade — the challenges overcome, the thousands of moments that shaped the Foundation, and the unwavering belief in the potential of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s youth.
He highlighted the incredible contributions of donors, partners, mentors, friends of the Foundation, and especially volunteers, who together have invested more than 100,000 hours of time and effort over the past ten years. Eddie emphasized that while the Foundation has reached this remarkable milestone, its future presence and impact will continue to depend on the ongoing support of its community.
“If we managed to build and sustain this for ten years, I am confident the Foundation will be here for many more — as long as our donors, partners, and friends of the Foundation choose to stand by us,” Eddie shared, underscoring both gratitude and hope.
With his closing words, Eddie once again reminded everyone that BHFF is not just an organization, but a movement — one built on resilience, generosity, and the shared vision of a brighter tomorrow.
A Night of Connection and Vision
The Sarajevo BH Professionals Meetup was a celebration of community, opportunity, and shared purpose. It once again demonstrated the power of bringing together professionals and friends of Bosnia and Herzegovina under one roof, strengthening bonds and opening doors to new possibilities.
As the Foundation looks ahead to the Futures Leaders Summit, the call is clear: join the journey, secure your ticket, and be part of shaping the future.
