"Nutrition and Nutrigenetics Awareness" Workshop Gathers Over 50 Participants
Futures GenoMed is a passion project launched under the title "Nutrition and Nutrigenetics Awareness", culminating in a successful workshop held on May 10th at International Burch University.
Initiated by BH Futures Foundation scholars Melisa Musić, Azra Smajlović, Dajana Brnada, Nedim Tabaković, and Sara Hadžiavdić, the project addresses a growing concern: the widespread lack of awareness surrounding the roles of nutrition and nutrigenetics in everyday health. After identifying this gap, the team dedicated nine months to developing and implementing the project.
Their efforts led to the organization of two workshops — one held in person at International Burch University on May 10th, and another online on May 11th.
Expert-Led Panels
The in-person workshop featured an esteemed panel of experts:
Assoc. Prof. Lana Lekić, PhD
Dr. Šejla Kotorić-Keser, MSc
Prof. Emer. Midhat Jašić, PhD
Dr. Jasmina Dedić-Hagan, PhD
The online workshop hosted:
Mirha Skakić, MSc
Dženeta Fazlić, BSc
and Assoc. Prof. Lana Lekić, PhD once again.
Impact and Support
The workshops attracted over 50 participants, who engaged in insightful discussions and gained practical knowledge applicable to their personal and professional lives.
The initiative was proudly supported by International Burch University and Bingo d.o.o., whose sponsorship helped bring this impactful project to life.
