Empowering the Next Generation: Community Outreach Initiative in Goražde
As part of our ongoing commitment to empowering youth and building a brighter future, the BH Futures Foundation recently carried out a Community Outreach initiative in the city of Goražde, visiting three local high schools:
MSŠ "Enver Pozderović"
STŠ "Hasib Hadžović"
SSŠ "Džemal Bijedić"
The goal of this initiative was clear — to introduce students to the wide range of opportunities available through our Foundation, and to encourage them to start shaping their futures today.
During the visits, our team engaged with students and shared information about various fellowship programs, mentorship opportunities, skill-building workshops, and international experiences offered by BH Futures Foundation. Through stories, experiences, and real-life examples, we highlighted how young people across Bosnia and Herzegovina can join our programs and begin their own journeys of growth, leadership, and innovation.
We focused not only on sharing what we do, but on showing students that they, too, can be the changemakers of tomorrow — regardless of their background or circumstances. From local volunteering to international conferences, from personal development programs to career-oriented mentoring, we showcased how each opportunity is designed to prepare youth to face the challenges of a fast-changing world with confidence and purpose.
A huge thank you goes out to Adnan Ferhatović, Emina Očuz, Hana Brkić, and Lamija Imamović for joining us and taking the time to share their own inspiring journeys with the students. Their stories brought our mission to life and reminded us all of the power of community, mentorship, and belief in one's potential.
This initiative is more than just a school visit. It is part of our broader mission to create a future where young people in every corner of the country are equipped, inspired, and empowered to lead, grow, and give back to their communities.
