Junior Scholar Passion Project: "Mostarski Versi"
"Mostarski Versi" – A Night of Poetry, Passion, and Purpose
We share the success of a truly inspiring event that took place last night in the reading room of the National Library in Mostar. The team behind this remarkable evening, “Futures STEM Pioneers” — comprised of Sajra Mušanović, Sajra Fajić, Tarik Čolić, and Ajdin Mehmedović — organized a heartfelt poetry night titled “Mostarski Versi” as their passion project, held within the broader cultural initiative “Mostar Reads Again.”
This event brought together lovers of the written word in a warm, intimate, and inspiring atmosphere. A special highlight of the evening was the appearance of renowned poet Melida Travančić, who enriched the program with her presence and poetry, adding a special layer of meaning and emotion to the night.
What made the event even more meaningful was the inclusion of high school students, who had the opportunity to present their original poetry. By doing so, the “Futures STEM Pioneers” team not only spotlighted literature but also created a supportive platform for young voices to be heard and appreciated.
Dino Burić - a mentor to this incredible team, I couldn’t be more proud — not just because of their flawless organization, but because, as IT students, they used their skills and energy to highlight the importance of reading and literature in today’s fast-paced digital world. In a time of constant streams of information, they reminded us of the irreplaceable value of culture, art, and emotional connection.
Mostar ponovo čita.
