A New Generation Joins the BH Futures Alumni Community
This past weekend, our BH Futures Academy community gathered in Zenica for one of the most meaningful moments of the year, the Graduation Ceremony of the 2025/26 Fellowship cycle.
Over three days, scholars, alumni, volunteers, mentors and team leaders came together to reflect on the journey behind us and prepare for everything that comes next. The weekend combined learning, leadership development, community building and celebration, reminding us that BH Futures Academy is about much more than completing a program. It is about becoming part of a lifelong community.
The weekend opened with our BH Professionals Meetup in Zenica before continuing with a full Academy program featuring workshops, leadership sessions, team development and networking.
One of the highlights was a leadership case study led by Ena Hasičević, where members of our Executive Leadership Team explored what it truly means to lead people. Through practical examples from her own experience, participants discussed decision making, managing teams, building trust and creating an environment where volunteers can grow and succeed.
Our scholars also participated in workshops focused on strengthening the Foundation itself, including team specific sessions and discussions on future initiatives that will shape the coming Fellowship cycle.
On Sunday, alumnus Evel Ribo returned to share his own BH Futures Foundation journey. He reflected on how volunteering helped shape his career, the opportunities that emerged through the community and the lessons he wishes he had known when starting. His honest advice encouraged current volunteers to stay curious, take ownership and make the most of every opportunity available to them.
The weekend concluded with the Graduation Ceremony, where we celebrated another successful Fellowship cycle.
This year we welcomed 29 Senior Scholars into our Alumni community, bringing our network to 214 alumni across the world. Their transition marks the beginning of a new chapter, one where they continue contributing as mentors, professionals and ambassadors of the Foundation.
We also celebrated the achievements of the entire Fellowship community. During the 2025/26 cycle, scholars participated in:
Beyond celebrating graduates, we also recognized volunteers whose dedication made this year possible.
