From Alumni to Educators: Ignite Talent Academy Workshops Led by Šejla Grcić and Evel Ribo

Over the past two weekends, participants of the Ignite Talent Academy had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge through a series of engaging workshops led by two distinguished members of our alumni community, Šejla Grcić and Evel Ribo.

These sessions were not only an opportunity to learn new skills but also a powerful example of how the Bosnia & Herzegovina Futures Foundation community continues to grow and give back.

Šejla Grcić, a certified soft skills trainer and pharmacy student at the University Džemal Bijedić in Mostar, guided participants through the world of productivity and effective time planning. Drawing on her experience in leadership, mentoring, and training, Šejla shared practical techniques that help young professionals better organize their responsibilities, set priorities, and build sustainable productivity habits. Her interactive approach encouraged participants to reflect on their daily routines and adopt strategies that can improve both academic and professional performance.

The following weekend, the focus shifted to the digital space with a workshop led by Evel Ribo, a senior cybersecurity consultant with more than five years of experience across sectors such as banking, production, and supply chain. Evel introduced participants to the fundamentals of cybersecurity and online etiquette, explaining why digital awareness is becoming an essential skill in today’s connected world. Participants learned about common security risks, responsible online behavior, and simple but effective practices that can help protect personal and organizational data.

What makes these sessions particularly meaningful for our community is the journey of the facilitators themselves. Both Šejla and Evel were once participants in the Bosnia & Herzegovina Futures Foundation mentorship and development programs. Today, they stand on the other side of the classroom, sharing their expertise and experiences with the next generation of students and young professionals.

This transition from mentee to mentor embodies the spirit of the BH Futures Foundation community: a cycle of learning, growth, and giving back. Seeing our alumni return as educators and role models is a testament to the long-term impact of our programs and the strength of the network we are building together.

As Ignite Talent Academy continues, we remain proud of the incredible individuals within our alumni community who are shaping new learning opportunities and inspiring the leaders of tomorrow.
