"Raspetljaj se": Helping Students Untangle Stress Through Expert-Led Workshops

In an effort to support student mental health and well-being, the project "Raspetljaj se" (loosely translated as “Untangle Yourself”) offered university students an opportunity to better understand stress and learn practical tools for coping — all through direct work with psychologists and psychotherapists.

Project Goal

The core aim was to introduce students to the mechanisms behind stress and equip them with strategies for managing it in healthy, sustainable ways.

About the Workshops

The initiative consisted of a series of three interactive workshops, each tailored to address different dimensions of stress:

  • Workshop 1 (held at Mozaik StartUp Studio): Focused on understanding what stress is, how it develops, and its psychological and physical manifestations.

  • Workshop 2 (held at Unipromet Hub): Delved into practical coping tools, tackling topics like perfectionism and overthinking.

  • Workshop 3 (held at MOVEba): Approached stress from a new perspective — using body movement and somatic psychotherapy to explore the mind-body connection.

All sessions were led by licensed psychologists and professional therapists, ensuring a safe and informed environment for learning and self-discovery.

Target Group

The program was specifically designed for university students, acknowledging the high stress levels many face during their academic journeys.

Impact

Participants reported feeling more relaxed, emotionally aware, and better equipped to handle personal challenges. The workshops provided not only educational value but also a space for personal growth, peer connection, and direct interaction with mental health professionals.

"We believe we’ve brought this important topic closer to students," said the organizers. "By creating a welcoming space and encouraging open conversations, we helped participants begin the journey of facing parts of themselves they may have otherwise avoided."

"Raspetljaj se" proved to be a meaningful step toward normalizing mental health discussions and empowering young people to care for their inner world.
