Once you join the BH Futures Fellowship as a Junior Scholar in our Incubation Program, here is what’s expected of you:

• Stay on Track Academically

  Keep your grades up and complete all your coursework.

• Be Active on Slack (our official channel for all internal communication)

  Engage with our community, stay informed, and connect with other scholars and mentors.

• Show Up to Onboarding

  Join our intro sessions to kick off the scholarship year and meet your fellow scholars.

• Attend Monthly Workshops and Futures Academy Events

  Stay sharp by participating in monthly skills and knowledge sessions, both live and online. Join in on webinars, panels, or even podcasts to share your voice and learn from others.

• Volunteer 100+ Hours

  Give back by volunteering throughout the year — at least 50 hours should support BH Futures Foundation activities.

• Be a Mentee

  Join our mentoring program, learn actively from your mentor, respect your mentor’s time availability, and share short reflections on what you’ve learned.

• Set Personal Goals

  Define your development goals and check your progress regularly.

• Be Part of Team-Building Events

  Connect with your peers and build strong friendships through annual team-building experiences.

• Drive a Passion Project

  Work with your team to create and lead a meaningful project that makes a real impact.

• Stay Professional

  Act with integrity, show commitment, and represent the Foundation with pride.

This section requires you to provide personal details and information about your educational background. Additionally, you will be asked to provide a justification for why you are seeking a scholarship.

You are required to write a one-page motivational letter expressing your aspirations, goals, and the reasons why you believe you are a suitable candidate for the scholarship. When crafting your motivational letter, it is crucial to familiarize yourself with the foundation's work, address all selection criteria, and incorporate the following important questions within the body of your letter:

• Introduce yourself by sharing your biography, highlighting your significant career achievements such as projects, scholarships, grants, and any notable volunteering and community service experiences.
• Demonstrate your alignment with the core values and vision of the BH Futures Foundation. Explain how your character and actions reflect the foundation's core values and how you have shown a commitment to their vision.
• Outline your future ambitions and articulate where you envision yourself in five years. Describe how this scholarship will contribute to your goals and how you plan to leverage it to achieve your aspirations.
• Take the opportunity to include any additional information that strengthens your application. This could be further elaboration on your skills, experiences, or qualities that make you an exceptional candidate for the scholarship.

As part of your application, we ask that you create a one-minute video introducing yourself and showcasing your passion, achievements, and commitment to your field of study. When submitting your 1-minute video, we invite you to showcase your personality and unleash your creativity. In your video, please address the following prompt: "Tell us about yourself and your major achievements over the last 12 months."

Here are some suggestions to guide your video:

• Introduce yourself by stating your name and where you come from. Let us get to know you and your background.
• Share something unique about yourself that sets you apart. Highlight an aspect of your personality or experiences that makes you truly distinctive.
• Share something that others may not know about you, offering an intriguing glimpse into your life or interests that surprises viewers.
• Reflect on your own superpower, a skill or quality that you possess and consider to be your greatest strength.

Major achievements may include:
• Projects or initiatives you have undertaken and successfully completed.
• Academic accomplishments or notable results that you have achieved.
• Leadership roles you have held and the impact you have made in those positions.
• Volunteering or community work that you have actively engaged in and its significance.

To ensure technical quality, please observe the following guidelines:

• Keep your video under 1 minute in duration.
• Record your video in horizontal mode, providing a landscape orientation.
• You may choose to speak in English or your local language.
• Ensure that your audio is clear and easily understandable.
• Feel free to be creative in presenting your video, allowing your unique personality and style to shine through.

The test is based on the foundational scientific work and personality types identified by Katharine Cook Briggs and Isabel Briggs Myers. who derived their personality type theory from Carl Jung.
