Connecting Ideas and Opportunities: BH Professionals Meetup in Mostar

Last night, we had the pleasure of attending the BH Professionals Meetup in Mostar in partnership with UniCredit Bank.

With more than 20 professionals gathered in one room, the meetup created space for meaningful conversations, new connections, exchange of ideas, and discussions about how we can continue building opportunities together in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Our team travelled from Sarajevo to connect with the local community and share more about the work of the Bosnia & Herzegovina Futures Foundation. Joining the meetup were Board Member Haris Lizde from Mostar, Executive Director Samir Mahmić, Marketing Manager Usame Čolaković, alongside Aleksandra Đorem and Nedim Tabaković.

During the evening, we reflected on some of the milestones already achieved this year, with special focus on the 3-Minute Thesis Bosnia and Herzegovina competition, which showcased inspiring university and high school students presenting their ideas, projects, and research in a way that made science accessible and engaging for everyone.

Opening remarks were delivered by our host Selma Riđanović Kenović, who emphasized the importance of partnerships, supporting youth-driven initiatives, and creating spaces where communities can grow together. She also expressed how proud they are to be part of the BHFF family.

Samir Mahmić spoke about the Foundation’s future plans and the many ways individuals can get involved, once again highlighting how collaboration and connection remain at the core of everything we do.

Nedim Tabaković shared his personal journey and reflected on how the Foundation opened doors for him, creating opportunities that shaped both his personal and professional growth.

Meetups like these continue to remind us that real progress happens when people come together with shared purpose, curiosity, and willingness to support one another. We look forward to many more conversations, collaborations, and ideas that will grow from evenings like this.
