Empowering Youth Through Financial Literacy

In the second half of March, BH Futures Foundation placed a strong emphasis on one of the most essential life skills—financial literacy. Recognizing that the ability to manage personal finances is fundamental to long-term stability and success, the Foundation organized a series of interactive learning sessions for participants of the Ignite Talent Academy, as well as its dedicated volunteers.

To ensure high-quality, practical insights, these sessions were delivered in collaboration with experts from ProCredit Bank, who brought both industry knowledge and real-world experience directly to the participants.

The program was structured around key pillars of financial literacy:

Building Savings as a Habit
Biljana Hadžimustafić Jevtić, Training and Development Associate at ProCredit Bank, led participants through the fundamentals of saving. Her session focused on helping attendees clearly distinguish between wants and needs—an essential first step toward responsible financial decision-making. Participants also explored how to develop sustainable saving strategies, turning short-term discipline into long-term financial habits.

Navigating the Digital Era with Confidence and Security
Lejla Jusić, Director of Digitalization and Development, introduced participants to the evolving landscape of digital banking. Her session highlighted the growing importance of financial security in an increasingly online world. From understanding digital financial tools to recognizing potential risks, participants gained practical knowledge on how to protect themselves while taking full advantage of modern banking solutions.

Throughout the sessions, the emphasis remained on interactivity and real-life application. Participants were encouraged to engage, ask questions, and reflect on their own financial behaviors—making the learning process both dynamic and impactful.
