Empowering Future Medical Doctors: our Scholar Melisa Musić Presents BHFF at Medical Student Symposium

As part of the 16th Annual Days of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian American Academy of Arts and Sciences (BHAAAS), Melisa Musić, Junior Scholar at the BH Futures Foundation, took part in the Medical Student Symposium, proudly representing the Foundation on an international academic stage.

In her presentation, Melisa introduced the work and mission of the BH Futures Foundation, emphasizing its commitment to empowering young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina through education, technology, mentorship, and global engagement. She shared personal insights into her journey as a Junior Scholar, highlighting the Foundation’s transformative impact on students and future professionals.

During the session, Melisa also presented key BHFF programs and initiatives, including:

  • the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition, which challenges students to present their research in just 180 seconds;

  • the Vera Šnajder Award, which celebrates academic excellence among female students in STEM;

  • and the BHFF Fellowship Program, designed to support exceptional young individuals through mentorship, leadership training, and professional development opportunities.

The Medical Student Symposium brought together future medical doctors and researchers from across the region and beyond, creating a space for meaningful dialogue, idea exchange, and academic inspiration. Melisa’s contribution stood out as an example of youth-driven change, passion for knowledge, and dedication to community development.
