Prof. Dr. Zlatan Aksamija Elected President of BHAAAS, A Trusted Partner and Friend of BHFF

The BH Futures Foundation extends its warmest congratulations to Prof. Dr. Zlatan Aksamija on his election as the new President of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian American Academy of Arts and Sciences (BHAAAS).

Prof. Aksamija is not only a globally recognized scientist and respected academic—he is also a longstanding friend, supporter, and partner of the BH Futures Foundation. For many years, he has served as a jury member for our “3-Minute Thesis” competition, offering thoughtful mentorship to young researchers across Bosnia and Herzegovina. Thanks to his personal support and initiative, BHFF has on several occasions secured financial awards for the competition’s winners, further uplifting excellence and encouraging students to pursue ambitious scientific paths.

His new leadership role at BHAAAS marks an exciting milestone for the global Bosnian academic community—one that also opens new opportunities for collaboration. BHAAAS and BHFF share the same mission: empowering young talent, strengthening scientific ties between the diaspora and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and building a future driven by knowledge, innovation, and community.
