I want to be like my mentor!
These words make it all worthwhile! Mentoring is about finding your role models. We went into this project to provide opportunities to disadvantaged youth. That message we received from a mentee a month in the mentoring program proved we are doing the right thing.
Mentoring program gathers talented, prosperous, hard-working and motivated youth. They are future engineers, professors, researchers, managers, ...
But right now, they need good guidance to discover and develop their potential!
Right now, they are dealing with small town stereotypes about females with careers, especially in IT/STEM industries.
Right now, they are anxious to ask underpaid parents for money to attend a software development course in the neighbouring city.
Right now, they are struggling to see their worth after being rejected on the fifth job interview.
Right now, they need you.
They need you - to help them see that fighting stereotypes is worth it and that they are not alone in it.
They need you - to help them bring opportunities even to smaller, remote areas. Talented people live there, too. Just ask Tesla.
They need you - to help them see their worth, discover their values and potential.
And why would your company do that?
