BHFF Junior Scholar Imad Buljić Presents Two Research Papers at the 17th Days of BHAAAS
BHFF Junior Scholar Imad Buljić presented two research papers at the 17th Days of BHAAAS, contributing to discussions across multiple interdisciplinary fields within artificial intelligence and computer science.
His first paper, “Using Multi-Agent Systems for Predicting and Preventing Natural Disasters”, explores the application of Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) and AI-driven approaches in forecasting and mitigating natural disasters. Due to its interdisciplinary nature, the research was featured in both the Information and Communication Technologies Symposium and the Computer Science, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence Symposium, highlighting its relevance across multiple domains.
The second paper, “Reducing p95 Latency and SLO Violations with ML-Driven Autoscaling”, was presented within the Computer Science, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence Symposium. This research focuses on leveraging machine learning to optimize system autoscaling, aiming to reduce p95 latency, minimize service-level objective (SLO) violations, and improve overall resource efficiency.
Through these contributions, Imad addressed both large-scale societal challenges and technical system optimization—demonstrating the breadth of application of modern AI and machine learning techniques.
His participation at the 17th Days of BHAAAS reflects the ongoing engagement of Bosnia and Herzegovina Futures Foundation Scholars in high-impact research and international academic platforms, where innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration drive forward-looking solutions.
