The Bosnia & Herzegovina Futures Foundation was officially established in December of 2015 but commenced with its work in December of 2016. Since then, it has supported students through scholarships, internships, mentoring, public workshops, presentations, conferences, professional development and much more. The list below shows what the foundation has supported and achieved since. The foundation provides financial as well as in kind products/services/opportunties which carry a nominal value. We have tried to valuate some of them as best as possible.

 
 
  • INAT Summit 2018

    BH Futures Foundation enables 12 scholarship recipients to attend the INAT Summit 2018 Conference in Belgrade, Serbia learning about e-migration and digital transformation.

  • CoDIT 2018

    BH Futures Foundation awards travel grant to Mr. Rijad Saric, a recently completed undergraduate engineering student from Sarajevo to present his paper at an IEEE Conference on Control, Decision & Information Technologies (CoDIT2018) in Thessaloniki, Greece.

  • Return to Bosnia Movie

    BH Futures Foundation in conjunction with Dr. Damir Mitric organised and hosted over 250 guests at the screening of the award winning documentary 'Return to Bosnia' at Cinema Nova, Melbourne, Australia. All proceedings from this even were donated to the foundation.

  • Foundation presented in Sweden

    BH Futures Foundation is presented to the B & H Diaspora in Stockholm Sweden.

  • Mentorship Program Launch

    BH Futures Foundation launches the first comprehensive mentoring program that utilises diaspora knowledge & expertise to help the youth of B & H advance their careers

  • BHFF Academies Start

    BH Futures Foundation hosted the BHFF Academy, the first of five for 2018 where students participated in an all day long training module on career planning, CV/Resume/Cover Letter writing, presentation skills, media and communications and learning to engage with industry training

  • Support for Kviz BiH

    BH Futures Foundation supported the launch of Kviz BiH mobile application, an educational and entertainment interactive platform that tests users knowledge of Bosnia & Herzegovina

  • Support for BurchGene Magazine

    BH Futures Foundation supported the launch of the student driven BurchGene Magazine to expand the public knowledge in the field of genetics and bioengineering.

  • Foundation Scholarships II

    BH Futures Foundation awarded 10 scholarships to students from entire Bosnia and Herzegovina based on personal character, high academic achievement, willingness to volunteer, unusual talent, participation in various projects, and dedication among other criteria to: Ali Mokayes (International Academy of Business and Information Tuzla), Haris Osmanbegovic (University of Sarajevo, Faculty of Electrical Engineering), Nikolina Grahovac (University of Banja Luka, Faculty of Electrical Engineering), Semir Salkic (University of Sarajevo, Faculty of Electrical Engineering), Stojanka Danilovic (University of East Sarajevo, Faculty of Electrical Engineering), Anes Mehagić (University of Mostar, Faulty of Information Technologies), Nikolina Bulović (University of Banja Luka, Faculty of Graphics Engineering) Emina Čustović (University of Mostar, Faculty of Information Technologies), Nihad Ferhatovic (International Burch University, Faculty of Electrical Engineering), Zorana Staka (University of East Sarajevo, Faculty of Electrical Engineering).

  • EU Robotics Week

    BH Futures Foundation was the driving force behind the euRobotics European Robotics Week in Bosnia & Herzegovina. Over 15 events in primary, secondary and other education institutes were organised.

  • IEEE SYPC Congress Trip

    BH Futures Foundation provided full financial support to cover registration, transport and accommodation for IEEE SYP 2017 Sarajevo Congress to 20 students from all corners of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

  • First Fundraiser, Melbourne, AUS

    BH Futures Foundation organized foundation's first official fundraiser at the Saint Hotel, Melbourne. Over 110 attendees.

  • Clean Air Workshop

    BH Futures Foundation with collaboration of International Burch University, La Trobe Innovation & Entrepreneurship Foundry and CityOS Foundation organized Clean Air Workshop. Where our academic ambassador gave his experience and support to participants.

  • LEAP Summit, Zagreb

    BH Futures Foundation awards 5 travel grants to LEAP Summit in Zagreb (500 BAM)

  • Foundation Presentation, Washington, USA

    First public presentation of the BH Futures Foundation presented at B&H Diaspora Conference in Washington DC

  • Patho-Gen 2017

    BH Futures Foundation supports 30 students to attend Patho-Gen 2017 (Spring School of Pathology and Molecular Genetics) hosted by Sharklab ADRIA in Sarajevo (1000 BAM)

  • Student Travel Grants

    BH Futures Foundation awards six travel grants for students to attend major conferences and work experience in other countries. Adnan Mujanovic (Faculty of Medicine, University of Tuzla) will be going to Barcelona, Mladen Veletic, (Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Banja Luka) will be going to Madrid, Džan Ahmed Jesenković (Faculty of Medicine, University of Sarajevo) will be going to Portugal, Adna Saracevic (Faculty of Medicine, University of Sarajevo) will be going to Latvia, Neja Mlaco (Faculty of Medicine, University of Sarajevo), Emina Letic (Faculty of Medicine, University of Sarajevo) will be going to Turkey. The students were partially funded for travel to the value of (1500 BAM)

  • Donation to OS Klokotnica

  • Foundation Scholarships I

    Two full BH Futures Foundation Scholarships (2 x 1800 BAM) awarded to Mr. Milan Kusmuk (Mechanical Engineering, University of East Sarajevo) and Mr. Amer Muratovic (Electrical Engineering, University of Tuzla)

  • Partial Scholarship

    Single semester BH Futures Foundation Scholarship (900 BAM) awarded to Ms. Vildana Hrnjic (Graphical Engineering, University of Banja Luka)

  • Oracle Academy Day

    Kristina Mladjenovic provided with registration to Oracle Academy Day (50 BAM)

  • Air Quality Sensing Technology

    Adna Cosic and Kristina Mladjenovic awarded with registration to CityOS Foundation two day workshop on Air Quality Sensing Technology (2 x 200 BAM)

  • CMBEBiH2017 Conference

    Five students awarded registration to attend CMBEBiH2017 Conference in facebook competition, 1. Amila Muhić 2. Nermin Đuzić 3. Alma Mujanović 4. Emina Mahmutbegović 5. Melisa Kuralic (5 x 60 BAM)

  • IEEE SYPCBiH 2016 Congress

    1st place innovation award (1000 BAM), 6 x Samsung tablets (2400 BAM) presented to Harun Hrustić, Bošnjak Armin, Kenan Beganović, Ajla Divoš, Anida Ibrahimagić, Lejla Međić, Nizama Perenda i Ramiz Mujčinović from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Zenica.   • IEEE SYPCBiH 2016 Congress

    2nd place innovation award (750 BAM) was presented to Adi Kadic, Boris Ivankovic, Dario Frimel, Tarik Causevic and Tarik Jahic from the Faculty of Economics & IT, University of Sarajevo. The award was given for their innovation "Pin-Trip" presented at the IEEE SYPCBiH 2016 Congress. Read the full story here

  • IEEE SYPCBiH 2016 Congress

    Dalibor Djumic receives 250 BAM, Samsung Tablet (400 BAM) and free registration to CMBEBiH2017 (60 BAM) as part of the 1st place research project award poster, Arrows System at IEEE SYPCBiH 2016.   • IEEE SYPCBiH 2016 Congress

    BH Futures Foundation along with partners IEEE Young Professionals and Youth Employment Project organised the first Student & Young Professional Congress at ETF Sarajevo. 100 students from all over Bosnia & Herzegovina participated.

  • IEEE Forum Sarajevo

    BH Futures Foundation organises IEEE forum in Sarajevo and awards 12 electrical engineering students with paid memberships to the world's largest proessional organisation (500 BAM)
